Visas

The ETA or Electronic Travel Authorization is the most common for travel to Australia: depending on your country, you can apply for this visa online or in person at any Australian diplomatic mission; it is free, lasts 3 months and can be delivered by your travel agent. If you are planning to stay longer, you can apply for a long stay visitor visa: it costs AUD100 minimum and depending on your country.

The conditions are as follows:
- You must have a return airline ticket to Australia.
- You can study up to 3 months maximum.
- This visa can be renewed in Australia for another visitor stay as long as the total duration in the country is not over 12 months and if there is no mention of NO FURTHER STAY on your visa (you'll have to show financial evidence of minimum AU$ 1000/month of stay).
- Depending on your country, you may be eligible to renew for a Student Visa or Occupational Trainee Visa
- You are not allowed to work at all!!
